Had a great ride from Surrey to my mums down in Worthing on the South Coast - about 50 miles, and then back again.
I am now really progressing in my riding confidence and skill and am shooting up the revs to the stops in the first 4 gears and starting to really lean over in the bends - still nowhere near a knee down of course. :D

I had some great overtaking sessons.
I was very close to running out of petrol in the middle of nowhere and had to stop to ask a dog walker who thankfully pointed the nearest one out to me.
I didn't have any close shaves or any moments but about 10 miles short of home I started to hear a slight rattling from near the bottom of the bike. I though it was either gear or clutch problems. When I got back I noticed that the oil was low - bloody hell, could have been a very expensive mistake but I have learned from it. Fortunately I went out and got some 10W.30 oil. topped it up and all seemed fine on a quick test ride bash so i think i got away with it.. phew.:(

Rain decided to stop and it all dried out by midday so went for a spin to get some life blood back into my R6.
Hadnt been on for ages so did all the prepartion and checks and took it easy for about an hour.
Filled up and started to gun it on the way home and finished up with a smile on my face.

thats what is all about.. ;)

Had a good morning so treated myself to a 2 1/2 ride out this afternoon.
I went from Woking to Crawley, near Gatwick to pay a visit to P & H Motorcycles/.
I recommend a visit as they have a huge array of Yamaha, kawasakis, Suzukis, Ducatis, HOndas and KTMs. I have never seen such a large multi-bike showroom!

I went out down the A25 then the A217 had a real blast. Traffic was light on the way there and I enjoyed sniping cars weaving in and out passed them.
More traffic on the way back as it was around 5PM.
    Great blast. nice roads.

Whilst i was there i went out on an NC750 X from Honda, which is an automatic! Video review coming soon.

Interesting ride in the dark tonight, was on the scooter. Its harder to see bumps and drains but at least cars dont blind me as I sit uo higher than I would in car.
Met a mate for a curry in Wokingham. Got back on my scoot just after and the vibrations on the journey back made me feel a bit ill - like a washing machine.. not a great idea to ride after a meal.:)
Best things are that the roads are quiet and it seems like you are travelling faster than you are.;)

Had another great ride today. Went down to Alfs Motorcycles in Worthing to check out their array of Kawasakis as they are nearest main dealer to me.
As I am now also looking at possible touring bikes, I had a ride on the new Z1000 Sx and the Versys 1000 - Great bikes, review coming soon.

The trip down was good, about 50 miles odd and I was zooming along.
The way back was a lot different. it was Dark again and the temperature dropped drastically.
My hands were bloody freezing and I have to say, I do not like riding at night really.
I git flashed a few times as people must have thought I had my full beam on. Dont these idiots know that this will blind me and its bloody dangerous! :(
I was having trouble seeing the bends properly which is a tad dangerous :)

    Ah, the two Kwaks:

I like the X1000SX. Looks like a comfy cruiser that could have fun around corners too.

Not so keen on Versys style.

The problem is there are so many bikes to choose from these days that you have to be very critical to single them out.

People say that motorbikoig went down a bit but it looks to me like things are hotting up, loadfs of manufacturs wih new models out.

Anyhoo, had a great over to Hastings from Kent to a usual motorcycle mecaa. Was bloody heaving!
    Sumer is here! :D
Was out quite early so the roads were quieter, friggin bike everywhere - and cyclists, fucking hundred of the feckers.

Had a nice blast out on my triumph to a motorcycle store to get some acf50 and a spanner - not related :)

Gave it some on the bends, nice n dry out there.
I had a cam on and caught a car swerving out in front of a bloke on a gixxer750 but there was no touch and the rider moved on, but nice t know i had it on camera if needed!

Came back with the acf50 under my jacket making me look pregnant. I fancied a ride to some nicer destination but had some erands to run.

Had a great ride with the member EDcase. We met up in Bracknell and went to Box Hill and then to Loomies and had some epic journeys, most noticeably the A272 westbound towards Petersfield stopping at Loomies with the lovely Rachel.

The ride nearly took all day as we must have done near enough 150 miles and involved doubling back to try and locate my GoPro which fucking fell of somewhere near Newlands Corner! Unfortunately, it seems to have gone the way of the pixies. RIP.

Keep an eye out for the next rideout.

went out for a ride into town only tpday, was a bit damp and very windy.

Was trying to filter between two rows of cars up to a traffic ilght. squeezed throgh with a bit of swerving and i got to the very last pair of cars and clipped the bloody wing mirror of the car on the right. It was only a few MPH but hard enuf to know my mirror out of alignment.

I was a bit embbarrased and pulled up in front of the car and prayed he didnt get out and have a go :(

Looks like i got away with it.

Went out this morning on my PCX.
Bloody windy which is fine in town when you are doing low speeds but starts getting really scary once you get above 40.
Had a coupe of lary moments when my bike physically casued me to swerve a foot or two before being able to correct it. Very disconcerting.
Also, you dont kow what to do for the best, tuck down, sit up, slow down, speed up, stop....
Its not nice when you are being smashed by the wind and then you see gaps in the trees or have to go over a bridge and then fear that it will magnify the wind blast and send you flying off the bike.

Moral of the story: don't go out in strong winds unless really necessary! :o

I haven't tried on a moped but I like riding in the wind. Keeps you on your toes and makes a boring ride interesting.
I definitely prefer wind to rain...

Wind I don't mind but I can understand cancelling a test ride if it starts raining.

Couple of days ago the weather was predicted to be good so went to work by bike. (Its only about 25mins and mostly traffic filtering)
Started off grey in the morning when I got to work. Then it brightened up and it was a lovely day...while I was stuck in the office.
Time to go home in the afternoon around 6pm and dark clouds appear. Just as I'm pulling out of the car park I hear the distinct pitter-patter of rain on the helmet and visor.
Few minutes later... bloody hail!!!! They were small but I could still feel em as I'm going along a dual carriageway.
Needless to say I was swearing all the way home. :(
