I have ridden road bikes for a few years, but through work and everything I had to take a break.

2015 is my first full season in mini bike racing, i came into it as it is racing on a shoe string budget. I have no previous experience in racing, and so i'm learning from the ground up.

I don't really know what else to say..... 60 bikes on the grid, 70mph down the straights, battling all day mid pack, getting faster and faster each time i'm on the bike.     love it!!!!!!!! ...

During a particularly damp weekend on Daventry I decided to kick off my mini bike racing again. The conditions could not have been more difficult, rain, the sun, rain, then sun..... and although I have wets for the bike, I don't have spare sprockets and discs and so it was matter of wait and see what it was going to be like and change the wheels to suit 20 minutes before the race.  I got down to the track at about on the @ 22:30 on Saturday night, pitched my cheap ass setup and bedded down. Arguably there is no better way to spend a Sunday. Practice, Qualifying and 2 races, and the bonus of being surrounded by pleasant like-minded people.           Despite my being awfully slow, running in group B in the stock 140s (fastest 30 riders go in group A) I came 20th in race 1...

During 2013 I was out on the bike at least once a month, £25 for a entire day out on track was too good to say no to. In 2013 a new race series started up, this was set by member of another UK series who decided to go it on their own, and set up a mini bike racing series "by riders, for riders": http://www.nmrrc.co.uk/ Unfortunately during the 2013 summer series I was unable to race, but i did however agree to help by coming down and help during race days with gridding up, as well as doing some filming and editing for them, please see the two videos in the blog. The series has grown over the last two years, and is now televised on Motors TV, therefore, my services are no longer required, but yet, still appreciated.  In November 2013, I got some money together and entered...

http://www.whichbike.com/motorcycle-reviews-blogs-news/entry/scratch-that-itch   As I am an impulsive person, and against my better halves better judgement. I quickly gathered together what money I could not afford and began the hunt for my fist pit bike. Unbeknownst to me at the time, the person who offered to let me come down and try his bike was starting up a new business importing MosterPRO Pit bikes: A cunning marketing ploy I must say, but, it worked. I bought one of the first 4 MonsterPRO pit bikes into the UK. I don't think that the brand imports into the UK any more, but shortly after i purchased the bike, the brand became the most sought after brand of supermoto pit bikes in the UK market. My little bike could possibly be seen as a collectors item.... i doubt it.  Every spare penny I had in the coming months, which unfortunately were leading into winter, were...

A few years back i had to take a break from bikes. This was down to the job etc, and so i sold my old CBR600F3, hung up my boots and put my leathers away. But, as any biker will tell you, once you have been bitten, it never goes away. And not before long I was surfing eBay for my next two wheeled stead. Alas, my having to work away, and then changing jobs, my dreams over being out on the open road did not come to fruition.  Despite these set backs, I could not get away from this two wheeled addiction that grasps any biker, and one day I came across the following video: I thought, "that looks awesome", and from then on I went about researching this wondrous new sport, which was and is massively popular, and is becoming more so year on year. I joined a couple...
